Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Welcome to the Himalayas
- Arrive at Paro International Airport; meet your Bhutan Lhome Adventure guide.
- Short visit to Paro Dzong and National Museum (Ta Dzong).
- Welcome dinner with cultural introduction and trip briefing.
- Overnight: Paro
- Highlights: Scenic arrival, Bhutanese hospitality
Day 2: Paro – Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang)
- Early morning hike to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery, dramatically perched on a cliff at 3,120m.
- Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples.
- Evening at leisure or optional traditional hot-stone bath.
- Overnight: Paro
- Highlights: Iconic monastery, spiritual awakening, adventure warm-up
Day 3: Paro – Drive to Thimphu – Capital Exploration
- Scenic drive to Thimphu (1.5–2 hrs).
- Visit Buddha Dordenma, Takin Reserve, and Changangkha Lhakhang.
- Optional short hike to Wangditse Goemba for panoramic views of Thimphu Valley.
- Overnight: Thimphu

Day 4: Thimphu – Punakha (Hike via Lungchutse Trail)
- Drive to Dochula Pass (3,100m) with 108 chortens and stunning Himalayan views.
- From Dochula, hike the scenic Lungchutse Trail through rhododendron forests to a hilltop temple.
- Continue to Punakha Valley (1.5 hrs drive).

Day 5: Punakha – Rafting & Dzong Exploration
- Morning white-water rafting along the Pho Chu River (optional or easy grade).

- Afternoon visit to Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple) and walk through paddy fields.
- Overnight: Punakha

Day 6: Punakha – Phobjikha Valley (Black-Necked Crane Habitat)
- Drive to the glacial Phobjikha Valley (3 hrs), home to the endangered black-necked cranes (seasonal: Nov–Feb).

- Visit Gangtey Monastery and interact with local monks.
- Overnight: Phobjikha

Day 7: Phobjikha – Bumthang (Through Central Highlands)
- Drive eastward via Trongsa, stopping at Trongsa Dzong and Yutong La Pass (3,400m).
- Arrive in Bumthang, Bhutan’s spiritual heartland.
- Overnight: Bumthang
- Highlights: Central Bhutan drive, historical fortress visit
Day 8: Bumthang – Cultural & Hiking Day
- Morning hike to Kurje Lhakhang, Jambay Lhakhang, and Tamshing Monastery.
- Explore local cheese and honey production.
- Optional short forest hike to Tharpaling Monastery for meditation and valley views.
- Overnight: Bumthang

Day 9: Bumthang – Return to Paro (Domestic Flight)
- Take a short scenic flight back to Paro.
