Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Welcome to the Land of Spiritual Bliss

  • Arrive at Paro International Airport, greeted with a warm Bhutanese welcome by your Bhutan Lhome Adventure guide.
  • Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and holiest temples, built in the 7th century.

Day 2: Paro – Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang)

  • Early morning hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest) — Bhutan’s most sacred pilgrimage site.
  • Learn about Guru Rinpoche’s meditation cave and the legend behind the flying tigress.
  • Return to Paro for lunch and free evening for reflection or optional hot stone bath.

Day 3: Paro – Thimphu (Capital of Spiritual Heritage)

  • Drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital (1.5 hours).

Day 4: Thimphu – Punakha via Dochu La Pass

  • Short hike to Chimi Lhakhang, the fertility temple dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kunley — “The Divine Madman.”

Day 5: Punakha – Bumthang (The Spiritual Heartland)

  • Arrive in Bumthang and check in to your lodge.
